About Me

Hello visitors! My name is Ian Gancas and I am a senior Film & TV undergraduate at Boston University. With a passion for storytelling and every aspect of the production process, I have immersed myself in producing short films, documentaries, music videos, and promotional videos throughout my time at university. I have gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the production process, from operating booms to directing my own short films.

Throughout my time at Boston University, I have also been a significant contributor to Boston University's community of artists and creatives. Over the past year, I have had the honour of being the Creative Director of Off The Cuff Magazine, Boston University's largest student-led fashion magazine with over 140 members and an audience of over 3,000 readers. With 20,000$ in annual funding, we have been able to produce incredible prints each semester along with promotional videos and innovative photoshoots.

As I prepare to graduate, I am taking the foundational skills I have learned in classrooms, workshops, and student film-sets into the world of entertainment. My internships at Dark Castle Entertainment and Rough Diamond Productions have given me experience in the professional world and have taught me how to read scripts through an analytical lens and provide concise and insightful coverage. I look forward to growing both creatively and professionally while immersing myself in my lifelong passion for film and entertainment.
